I CONGRESS OF THE SPANISH NETWORK OF STRESS RESEARCH
The Spanish Network of Stress Research (REIS) will hold its 1st Congress in Bilbao (Bizkaia Aretoa, University of the Basque Country, UPV-EHU) from January 29 to 31, 2025.
CONGRESS REGISTRATION
Attendance at the congress will require being registered and having paid the corresponding registration fee, regardless of whether or not a communication is presented. Each registered person will have the right to submit a single communication, in order to facilitate the participation of the greatest number of researchers, especially young researchers.
The registration payment gives the right to attend the meeting, to receive the congress materials and to participate in the meals and coffees on the days of the meeting; it does not cover travel or accommodation expenses.
The registration process, therefore, will involve the following steps:
- Fill out the Registration Form
- If you participate in the congress with a communication, the abstract must be attached to the registration form.
- Upload the bank transfer certificate to the registration form or send it to info@reis.es (mandatory).
The registration fee is 100 € and will be paid by bank transfer (CC: ES68 2095 0292 9191 2159 8801). It is strongly requested that the name and surname of the registered person be clearly identified and that this is the payment of the registration fee for the I CONGRESS OF THE SPANISH NETWORK OF STRESS RESEARCH (example: REIS María Pérez Sánchez Congress Registration).
The deadline to complete the entire registration process will be January 20, 2025.
ASSISTANCE GRANTS
The organization will give assistance grants to young researchers who meet the following requirements:
- Member of the REIS network
- Be a predoctoral or junior postdoctoral researcher (maximum 2 years after PhD defense)
- Present a communication at the meeting
- Process and pay the registration
The number of grants will depend on the funds available for this purpose. In the case that there are more requests than funds available, grants will be prioritized based on the researchers’ CV. Participants who wish to apply for travel grants must register and send the abstract before January 13, 2025 by checking this option on the registration form and attaching their CV.
ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION
Both oral and poster communications in any line of basic or clinical research, directly or indirectly related to the study of stress will be accepted. The abstracts will be evaluated by the REIS scientific committee for acceptance and will be organized into sessions on related topics based on the set of communications received.
Priority will be given to oral communications from young researchers. However, and depending on the number and type of abstracts received, the scientific committee may propose that some oral communication be presented in poster format or vice versa.
General instructions for submitting the abstracts
The abstract will be attached in Word format to the Congress registration form, in accordance with the following instructions:
